Bento #03 : Penguin Bento

This bento was made for my hubby, ya I think its a lil bit too cute for him :) He requested a more simple one next time, especially if its for lunch at work. hehe This was made last weekend and he had this bento for afternoon snack haha.. Maybe u think this was an awful lot for a snack, hmm but my hubby is rice lover, he could eat rice anytime even for snack haha.. good for him that he still manage not to gain weight

The penguins are tuna stuffed rice balls decorated with nori, the others are boiled egg ( cant quite make the star shape happen ), chicken nuggets, sweet corn, strawberries, kiwis, and blueberry yoghurt.

Snack Bento #1 : Cinnapple Roll

This was very busy week, I had many things to do at work n my husband is out of town. Luckily I can still manage to find some time to make this very simple snack bento, I always have a few stock of frozen snack n food at my fridge in case of time like this. Some of them were home made n some were bought at supermarkets. This cinnapple roll are grated apple and cinnamon wrapped with spring roll sheets. I made it couple of days ago n kept it frozen.

Inside of this bento was cinnapple roll, flower shaped honeydews, fresh strawberry and maple syrup. Mayra brought this bento to her music class, but already ate the half on her way there hehe

Bento #02 : Spongebob & Patrick Bento

Actually I made this a couple of days ago, but the hectic schedule at work made me keep forgetting to post it. In made this bento because my daughter is having a spongebob-fever :D I don't know what is it about with this spongebob that my 1,5 year old daughter like very much, maybe its just the bright yellow color hehe

I made the spongebob from smoked beef sandwich covered with cheddar cheese, n patrick was also from sandwich covered with beef salami, I also put some flower shaped smoke beef n checkered apple.. Mayra was so excited with this bento, she even won't let me take a good photograph of it.

Bento #01 : My First Bento

This was my first time making bento, it was very simple coz I didn't have much time to prepare it, I had to take Mayra to her gymplay class at Gymboree. Bento was supposed to be made for people going to work or school or just having lunch outside, but mine wasnt. Mayra only go to "school" twice a week for gymplay n music class. Each class is only for an hour long.. That means actually it's unecessary for her to bring bentos, coz she's having her lunch at home anyway. But I like the pleasure of making bento, it made me feel happy n I think so did Mayra.. It's like putting love into lunch boxes :)

I'm not a full time stay at home mom nor a full time mom * hate those labels*, I run a family business that gave me the privilege to have a not so strict working hours, I can take mayra to school in the morning and still go to work after that. But I often still have to work after office hours or even after midnight. Well because of that I like the idea of making bento s for Mayra's lunch so she could still feel the fun lovin feeling in her meals.. I always try to cook myself her meals so she can have nice and healthy meals, and I think it would make her more happy if it's packed in a cute n fun package..

For this bento I made a bear-shaped rice mixed with scrambbled egg, some fish nuggets with mayo sauce, starfruits and strawberries. Mayra is very excited with her lunch, she ate both of the bears with some chicken soup ( I didn't put the soup into the bento ). I'm very glad she like it ^_^
